Basil Peters, Principal

Basil is a very strategic, tenacious M&A advisor. The most fun Basil has as an entrepreneur, or an investor, is when companies are successfully sold.

He was a successful CEO in Vancouver and Silicon Valley. Basil also founded a venture capital firm, hedge fund, and angel fund.

After being an investor for a couple of decades he finally realized that successful investing requires two things: making the right investment decisions and getting your money back. Now his exclusive focus is working with shareholders to design and execute optimum exit transactions.

He also recently published his first book: Early Exits.

He has a Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia in Electrical and Computer Engineering and has received the Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Canada Awards Silver Medal in Entrepreneurship, the BC Science and Engineering Gold Medal and Business Leader of the Year Award.

Gregg Lutton, Associate

The newest member of our team, Gregg, joins Strategic Exits with a Masters of Finance (specializing in hedge fund and private equity management) from the International University of Monaco.

Gregg's undergraduate work was in international economics along with Asian and European history from the University of the Fraser Valley. He's also working on a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of British Columbia.

Gregg is an obsessive online gamer, avid snowboarder & motorsport fan, and a competitive swimmer. In 2009, he competed in the British Columbian Summer Swimming Association Provincial Championships where he placed 3rd for 100m short-course breaststroke.

Gregg's focus is marketing and buyer research.

Linda Irvine, Communications

Linda is our resident communications expert.

She handles 'all things e' - including research, websites, marketing, publishing, social media, events and email campaigns.

She works on our clients Confidential Offering Memorandums, executive summaries and presentations.
